Markeim Chalmers is pleased to welcome its 2017 summer interns – Drew Meklinsky and Aaron Silverberg – both who are graduates of Cherry Hill High School East. Drew just completed his 1st year at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business where he is majoring in Business Administration with an interest in Finance and Marketing. Aaron has returned for the summer having finished freshman year at Penn State University. With interests that include marketing, advertising, real estate and fashion, he is pursuing a major in Communications Arts and Science and minor in Business.

Markeim Chalmers Senior Associate Adam Dembo represented Suckle Properties, LLC (seller) in the sale of 1395 Suckle Highway in Pennsauken, NJ. The 37,215 SF industrial building sits on 1.71 acres and was eligible for the Grow NJ Program. It was sold to 153 Suckle Highway, LLC and closed on June 19, 2017 for the sale price of $1,200,000. Markeim Chalmers negotiated a long term lease for Cooper University Health Care to open its first Urgent Care Center in Burlington County. The new 4,971 SF state-of-the-art facility is located within the Shoppes at Cinnaminson at 95 Route 130 in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. The site, which starts seeing patients on May 15, 2017, brings both new jobs and improved healthcare options to the South Jersey area. Markeim Chalmers negotiated a land development deal for the new 110,000 SF Senior Living Facility to be part of Washington Square Town Center in Washington Township, New Jersey. Senior Vice President, Scott Martin, represented both parties — The Wegmen Companies and The Atkins Companies — in the transaction, which finalized in April 2017. Located between Virtua Wellness Center and Kennedy Hoptial, Washington Square Town Center is a 35-acre mixed-use project featuring luxury condos and apartments, retail, restaurants and more, currently under development by The Atkins Companies, one of the largest medical office building developers in the region. The Wegmen Companies (Rochester, New York) is one of the largest developers like facilities in the country. The addition will add further jobs, services and visitors to the region. Markeim Chalmers negotiated a long term lease for The Rothman Institute to occupy 20,000 SF of the new 40,000 SF medical office building at Washington Township Town Center in Washington Township, New Jersey. Scott Martin, Senior Vice President, exclusively represented both The Rothman Institute (the tenant) and The Atkins Companies (the developer) in finalizing the deal. Located between Virtua Wellness Center and Kennedy Hospital, the 2-story state-of-the-art building anchored by The Rothman Institute will be delivered by January 2018. It sits amid Washington Square Town Center, which is a 35-acre mixed-use project featuring luxury condos and apartments, retail, restaurants and more, currently under development by The Atkins Companies, one of the largest medical office building developers in the region.
